Miramar Air Show

Went down to SD for the Miramar Air Show this weekend, wow was it fun.  Got to see so many different planes that I have never seen before in person.  The F-22 Raptor, F/A-18 Super Hornet, AV-8B Harrier, Blue Angels, they were all there and it was pretty cool.  The Raptor was by far my favorite, it could turn on a dime like a car on the ground, maneuvered like no other plane I have ever seen fly.  The Marines did a tactical demo with tons of explosions that you could literally feel from where we were sitting.  I had originally planned on sitting in the free area either the left or right of the grandstands, even brought the folding chairs to do so....got super lucky trying to find seats when we got offered 2 box seat tickets for only $20!  The seats were in front of the grandstands, I only had 2 people in front of me and then it was tarmac.  Almost the closest you could be.  It was a great time.  Caught up with Luke & Jeff and watched baseball and football all sunday, that was a blast.  Luke got to pay up on his bets and I took advantage and won 3 out of the 4 additional bets we placed today.  In the end, great trip, great weekend.
