Jackson Hole Wyoming

It only took me seconds to reply to Gabe when he had texted me earlier in the year "do you want to go to Jackson Hole to snowboard??".  I have always wanted to go to Jackson and I was not going to let this opportunity go away.  We ended up booking everything the very next day.  Gabe is part of a giant group of people from all over the US that meet together a few times a year in a random location to snowboard.  So Gabe, myself, and his good friend Stephanie were going to stay in a room and the other group of more than a dozen people were staying at one giant house outside the resort.  Everyone in the group was super cool and we had a blast.  Hopefully I will go on another trip with them because they are all really fun.

The 3 of us stayed right at the bottom of the mountain.  Not next to the Hilton, or the Ritz, we were at the Hostel.  That was the name.  The Hostel.  We had our own room which consisted of plywood walls, a bunk bed, and two regular beds, a shower, that's it.  Perfect.  For the price it was great and we hardly spent any time in the room so it didn't matter.

Jackson is a great place to ski, and to party.  At the bottom of the mountain we had a permanent table all 3 days at the Handlebar.  It was sweet because you could ride for a bit, come down and get a bite, maybe have a beer, then go back out with whoever wanted to join.  Having almost 20 new friends made it a lot of fun, I got to ride with a bunch of people that were really cool.  Our group gave quite a bit of $ over to the handlebar over the few days we were there.

We had nothing but great weather in Jackson the entire trip.  One afternoon we hiked up a small mountain off the highest lift to get some freshies.  It was worth it, made out for some cool pics.  I have never had so much fun on a skiing trip with a group of friends.
